Happy Father's Day Dad!

I just want to tell my dad Happy Father's Day. He is a great father, grandfather and friend. He has been there for me through a lot. I appreciate him in my life and in the lives of my kids. They love how kind, funny and supportive he is. He is at their games when he is home, he attends school functions, and loves to play in the pool. I am sorry he is out of the country to spend the day with him but we love you a lot and miss you when you are away. Thanks for all you do. Here are some things the kids had to say about grandpa:
Jaren- "He always remembers me on his trips, thank you"
Ellie-"He makes me laugh and calls me his girlfriend"
Olivia-" I love him and his chocolate milk"
Tae- blows kisses (not talking yet)
You are the greatest!

Off to San Francisco

My sister Amy, my mom, and I went to San Francisco for the weekend. We had a lot of fun. We went on a bike ride across the Golden Gate Bridge. Hung out in Salsolito at a Farmer's Market. Shopped at Gherrideli's Square, visited Fisherman's Warf, saw a play called "Beach Blanket Babylon", ate in little Italy, shopped at a street fair, saw a movie, and finally watched a parade of naked men ride their bikes through the street fair protesting gas prices. This was a great city to visit. It had a little bit of everything. The weather was great, the people were fantastic to watch, and the food was outstanding. I would definately go back and hope to soon.

Where are we going?

Here are two fools trying to figure out where to get off and where to go. We are riding on the BART which we took from the airport to downtown. We met some interesting people. Some that like to dance to their own beat and others that were just plain funny.

Riding the Trolley

I absolutely loved this. The fresh air blowing felt so good. We even got my mom out a couple of times to get the full experience. It was a fun way to get around. We also met some great guys that worked for the trolley. We were so amazed how they drive these things. They had great personalities and
made us all laugh.

The Curran Theatre

So while we were out sightseeing we found the Curran theatre (if you do not know this is my maiden name). This is the play that was currently showing. The two guys dressed as women fit perfectly in our family. Those Curran's, I always knew they were a little fruity. We did not get to see it but wanted to, it looked funny.

Golden Gate Bridge Bike Ride

This is the bike trip that we took from Fisherman's Warf down to the Golden Gate Bridge and over to Salsolito. It was really windy so it made the ride challenging. We found out as we are riding to the bridge that my mom has a fear of bridges and did not think she would make it. Well she did great and it was a great ride. We stopped at the Farmer's Market and ate the best fruit. We rode the ferry back to where we started.

Happy Birthday Ellie! Big #7!!

Today is Ellie's 7th birthday. She woke up in a pile of balloons. She thought it was so cool. They had water day at school and the girls and I brought in Krispy Kreme doughnuts, juice, and candy necklaces. The class sang happy birthday to her in spanish. She loved wearing the birthday hat and being the center of attention. She will have her birthday party this year with her brother at Bounce U later this month. We are going for dinner at Uncle Bear's where they have a magician and peanuts to throw on the floor. Right now she is on a date with her Grandma Ellie shopping for birthday presents.

Ellie's BIG Dance Recital

Last weekend Ellie had her dance recital. They practice all year for this day. She performed two dances one in tap and one in jazz. The tap was to a mix of songs like "YMCA, Do you love me, Ride the train". Then the jazz was to"We got the beat". She did a great job and had a lot of fun. We are so proud of her.

Summer is Back

We are officially in summer. I know the calendar says June 20th but in AZ it comes much earlier. We start counting it when the temp. is 100 or over. Thank goodness for swimming pools. This year Jaren and Ellie will be taking diving lessons, Liv will be in her own class, and I will be in a mommy and me class with Tae.

Poor Tyler

Poor little Tyler got a little sick and ended up in the hospital. In the middle of May Ty woke up with a chest pain that felt like indegestion. The problem was it would not go away. All day he was hurting. He decided to go to Urgent Care at 7 that night. They ran some tests and thought it was pretty serious and sent him to the ER. Meanwhile I keep telling him it is not a big deal and he can go to the doc. tomorrow. I know big jerk trying to save a little money. Well he insisted it was a big deal and went to the ER. They ran tests and admitted him. He had pancritious, and gall stones. They waited for the stone that was stuck to pass and finally did surgery to remove the gall bladder 2 days later. He was in for 4 days and then came home. He had to be on light duty because of the nature of his job for 3 weeks. He is back on regular duty now and feeling fine. I need to be a little more sensitive to him I have learned. Sorry Ty=(

3-Day update

I have started my training for the three day. When you sign up they give you a virtual trainer that tells you how to train. This is a hard for me because it is so boring to walk and walk. I walked the three miles the first day and decided I was bored and had to go back to my spin, step, and lift classes. I still walk on some days but it is so hard to not want to freak out it gets so BORING. I can't wait for the training days with other 3 day walkers. I enjoy the social part of walking. I have raised $1,075.00 so far. I am 49% there. I am so excited. I can't wait to get the fund raising out of the way. It stresses me out a little. I will keep you posted.

So Sad Baseball is over!

Actually is was a great day when Jaren's team lost the second game in the tournament. This meant baseball was over and it was right when the weather was getting ridiculous to sit in. All in all the Padres had a great year and Jaren really improved. It was a transition from coach pitch to kid pitch. He should be ready next year.

Livi's new do!

Yesterday Liv got her summer cut. She wanted it short like Tae's but I couldn't go that short. She has great hair that just dries so nicely. I am jealous. It is a perfect sassy cut for her sassy personality.
